Description
1+ years of recent ED, ICU, or IR experience strongly preferred.
Fast paced minimally invasive procedural department. RNs are
responsible for care of the patient during interventional radiology
procedure, including assessment, sedation, monitoring, and
charting. Patient acuity varies from low acuity to critical care
patients. Interventional radiology RNs have a call requirement
(amount of call may vary), this includes a 30 minute response time
while on call.

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $37.06 - $57.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's
relevant experience
Summary:
Provides direct patient care at a proficient level, in accordance
with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies,
values, and mission of the organization. Monitors the patient to
maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes and maximize
available resources.
Responsibilities:
Performs functions before procedure, including preparing the
environment, orienting and assessing the patient, and reviewing
patient's medical record to ensure safety checklist are
complete.
Responds to life threatening situations utilizing nursing standards
and protocols for treatment. Handles critical and highly stressful
situations, reacting decisively with efficiency and composure.
Provides nursing care in a technically complex environment.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides
patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,
and circumstances.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive
judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate
action.
Requirements:
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and relevant
licensure/certification as determined at position level.
6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship
program.
